David Tucker Portraits
David was commissioned by the Not Forgotten Association to produce a series of historic portraits of those who have been affected by the consequences of war. He interviewed and painted a total of 7 veterans that have been turned into short animated films. They cover a wide spectrum, from some of the last veterans of the D-day landings, Japanese POW camps, to the Falklands, Northern Ireland and Afghanistan.
Harry Patch is the first, in order to commemorate this year’s 100th anniversary of WW1. The Music was written and composed by Radiohead’s Thom Yorke.
The objective was to create awareness of the NFA and create a lasting legacy for those veterans they have looked after since the end of WW1.
